Behind every great scout adventure, are parents and leaders who work together to make memorable experiences for the next generation. Here are some of our great leaders who we hope you get to know.
Pack Committee Leaders
Cubmaster - Jim
Born in Lovelock, Jim grew up camping on the sloughs of their family farm before he was 10. While never in Scouting himself - he did participate in a 4-H group that went rock climbing, hiking, and camping several times each summer. As Cubmaster, Jim hopes to provide the scouts with a good foundation for camping and survival skills that will hopefully serve them well throughout their scouting endeavours and in life.

Committee Chair - Kobe
Announcements, Announcements, Announcements! Kobe works hard to make sure that we all know where we are going and what we are doing - but more than that he makes sure that we have places to go (by scheduling them) and that we have what we need when we get there.
Chartered Org. Rep. - Auriel
Auriel makes sure that we are on the same page with our Chartered Organization - SSES PTO. She keeps us posted on needs that the school and the PTO have and keeps the PTO posted on all the great activities and projects our scouts are working on.
Webelos - Nick
Nick is an awesome Den Leader who plans great hikes and other outdoor activities. He brings several years of scouting, camping and construction experience to our youth.
Bears - YOU!?
We are currently looking for a new Bear leader and would love to have your help here!
Wolves - Auriel
Another of our rock-star leaders - Auriel does a great job of connecting with our youth and helping them to become the best scout they can be. She has many years of camping, hunting, and outdoors experience and learned a great deal of survival and first aid skills from her time with NHP and NDOW and surviving her husband (Cubmaster Jim).
Tigers - YOU!?
We are currently looking for a new Tiger leader and would love to have your help here!
Lions - Sacha
Our Lions den is just starting up for the summer and has already gone on hikes and had fun in the sun at day camp - will you be joining them!?
How to Become a Leader
Just ask! We are always in need of help with running our pack. And we have several opportunities that fit in with your skill sets.
Here are the steps:
- Register at https://my.scouting.org/ (if you haven't already)
- Complete Youth Protection Training: https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/
- Find out where you want to help and get involved. Some roles such as Den Leader require additional training (most of which can be completed in a few quiet evenings)
